Reply to multiple Mr/Miss Anonymous

Hello Mr/Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visits on the blog and very kind words about it…..I will reply to your queries one by one as several Anonymous have asked the questions :
[1] Taking exemption from FC this year means that you are missing FC only and you have to join your respective academy in the month of December ….There is no loss of seniority..the only thing which you will loose is the salary for 3 and ½ months..that’s all….so don’t worry about anything and prepare well for the exam…good luck….further query is welcome….keep blogging.

[2] Dopt will not take in to consideration the attendance if you don’t appear in CSE-09 mains even if you are taking exemption from FC..but why will you take exemption then???FC is the most memorable event of your life…kindly attend FC if you are planning to not to appear in CSE09-mains…You will make lots of friends across the services as well as earn good amount of salary…the main attractions of FC are trekking, village visit, AK Sinha one act play and lots of fun….still it is your choice…further query is welcome…keep blogging…

[3]First of all congratulations for being in IRS[IT]….regarding the scope of IAS Vs IRS[IT] after 20 years down the line….It entirely depends on you because the clientele base of these two services are entirely different…so indeed, you can’t compare both the services in terms of scope…if you want to have more interaction with common people and positively intervene in their life, you must go for IAS as IRS[IT] deals with only rich and upper middle class….Besides, the diversity of job profile will always be greater in IAS….IRS[IT] ,as I feel is going to be a technology based job 20 years down the line as We are going to have national identity card, more computerization, more use of plastic money and simplification of the IT Acts thus gradual reduction of discretion powers e.g. coming of direct tax code…..Regarding IAS, though it is facing the heat from the demand for specialization, pressure and pulls from globalization and greater emphasis on decentralization and the growth of PRI [Panchayati Raj]…It will still makes its presence stronger then any other services because it’s ignorance is it’s virtue…in future the emphasis in IAS will be on the development of managerial skills and specialization in some areas as suggested by 2nd ARC…thus as compare to IRS [IT], IAS definitely has upper edge…since you have your child hood dream so try for it …then only your soul will be satisfied…Our parents usually says ‘Work is Worship” but if you don’t like your work [in your case if you continue in IRS[IT]] how can it be worship….so strive hard for IAS……regarding the planning to appear from field in 2010, you can definitely appear from the field irrespective of the place of your posting….you can always avail leave on medical grounds as well various other leaves….still, if you want to join relatively cool place [in terms of work load]…you can think about it as definitely in metropolitan cities you will have huge work load….you can consider the example of IAS topper Mr Addapa Karthik who topped being an IPS probationer at NPA where schedule is very very hectic….I know one person who was SP in orissa from last three years and cleared in CSE-2006 and became IAS in Kerala cadre…I don’t think that you will ever have tough work load more than the SP of any district…..so don’t worry about the field postings…you are in Group ‘A’ service , no body can touch you ….cherish your childhood dream…good luck….further query is welcome….keep blogging….

Reply to Mr Dattu and Mr/Miss Anonymous

Hello Mr Dattu and Mr/Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visits on the blog and kind words about it…it is really bad and disturbing that Dopt is acting in such an irresponsible manner…You are very true that only one more day to left for FC and they are coming out with this news….Any way look the brighter aspects only as this types of incidence will recur again and again in our life….Now you all will get sufficient time to prepare for CSE-09 mains…so enjoy and start preparing for mains….regarding the preparation for FC,don’t worry about the expenditure you would have done, these things will be useful when you will join your respective departmental training…..regarding change of exam centre, you can write an application to UPSC…they will definitely consider your case as some of my friends have approached to UPSC today for the same requests and they were very helpful in this regard..I don’t think that they will create any problem so just wait for Monday and give application or send the fax…..further query is welcome….keep blogging….I am publishing the notice issued by Dopt..it is available at www.persmin.nic.in ......

Exemption from attending 83rd FC

Hello all, Dopt has decided finally to give relief to the successful candidates of CSE-2008 in the form of exemption from attending 83rd Foundation course being conducted at LBSNAA,MCRHRD and Bhopal…..The manner in which Dopt has behaved this year shows clear cut lack of coordination and for sight and sensitivity towards the civil service aspirants…Now candidates has to move UPSC to change the centre of examination for CSE-2009 because most of the CSE-08 candidates have filled the exam centre for CSE-09 in the city of their FC[of course,if they have applied for it]….Dopt has said that they are going to update the details on its website at 4 pm onwards today [28th August]….Due to the misinformation, the candidates has almost lost one month in the preparation for FC….Now they have to work hard to bridge the gap in the preparation…Any way at last candidates got some respite and now they can fully devote their time for CSE-09…I wish them a good luck…keep blogging….

Hello Mr/Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...regarding your viewpoint on one of the coaching Institute for sociology located in Delhi....you may be right but I have mentioned only those institutes which are little bit popular in Delhi....Regarding the Topper's view...Now one can write anything about somebody after getting in to service....I know that this topper has written pejoratively about one institute from where this topper got maximum advantage or guidance...so it is quite individual opinions..it is the candidate who has to see carefully regarding the veracity of any coaching institute....I know several guys who got fair marks in sociology from that Institute...so I think one should see only brighter sides of any academy because for CSE,I don't think there is any coaching which provides full package for success baring only few [approximately several of them are run by unsuccessful aspirants in CSE]......further query is welcome...keep blogging....

A Must read article by Mr R K Pachauri

The current drought affecting several parts of India is merely a symptom of a growing problem that this country must address with forward vision. Lack of access to good quality and adequate quantity of water for the citizens of India renders meaningless progress in all other fields. There are varying estimates of total useable water resources in the country, but the consensus clearly points to a quantity below 1,000 billion cubic metres, which translates into water availability per capita far below the scarcity benchmark of 1,000 cubic metres. Demand in the future will grow rapidly with increase in irrigation, rapid industrialisation and greater household consumption, particularly with rapid urbanisation.
While the current drought represents a large-scale crisis, several local emergencies have been occurring in India for some years now. Often, costly measures and temporary solutions are implemented such as transporting water by train to parched areas, water tankers plying in both rural and urban areas, often with massive leakages en route. It is unfortunate that we only wake up when the National Aeronautics and Space Administration informs us about declining water tables, while numerous studies in India highlighting this problem have largely been ignored.
Problems of water supply would be exacerbated further with climate change. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in its Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) projected widespread loss of mass from glaciers and reduction in snow cover throughout the 21st century, reducing water availability, hydropower potential, and changing seasonality of flows in regions supplied by meltwater, including the Hindu-Kush and Himalayan range. Available research also projects a significant increase in heavy rainfall events in many regions, including some in which the mean rainfall would decrease. As a result, increased risk of floods would pose challenges to society affecting physical infrastructure and water availability.
India’s record of managing water resources does not cover us with glory. In 1995, Teri undertook a detailed exercise to evaluate how India had managed its natural resources in the first 50 years of independence. This massive exercise, which apart from evaluating the damage and degradation in key natural resources like water, forests, soil, air and biodiversity concluded that India was losing over 10 per cent of its GDP annually from environmental costs. When these results were presented in a major public function to the then Prime Minister, I.K Gujral, he commented that these “should jolt us into action”.
However, over the years not enough has been done to deal with this growing malaise. Sadly, India’s major river systems are all dead, incapable of supporting any life, and actually lethal sources of disease. Despite several thousands of crores of expenditure our rivers remain sewers with depleted water flow.
Solutions lie in managing the uses of water rather than focusing only on enhancement of supply. In this regard, pricing of water for a range of uses including agriculture is of critical importance. Highly subsidised electricity tariffs not only promote inefficient pumpsets but also overexploitation of groundwater resources. TERI assessed groundwater resources several years ago and found that in districts like Mehsana in Gujarat and several in Karnataka the water table had dropped to a level that all drinking water wells had turned dry compelling villagers to look elsewhere for drinking water.
In towns and cities there is substantial wastage in transportation of water, and in the domestic, industrial and commercial sectors. Industrial recycling of water could be achieved through appropriate regulations as well as price incentives and disincentives. Research on new crops and practices should also be undertaken to make agriculture drought proof. There is also need for reviving indigenous water management practices and institutions. These institutions functioned effectively for several centuries prior to colonial times. Sadly, the country’s independence did not bring a turning point in this regard.
We have now reached a crisis, which can only be solved through focused attention at the macro level for the country as a whole, and going directly to the grassroots for workable solutions. It is essential for the government to adopt long-term measures, including water storage and transport structures and effect institutional changes by which such crises, which will become more serious in the future, do not lead to large-scale human suffering and social disruption.
[Mr R. K. Pachauri is Chairman, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Director-General, The Energy & Resources Institute (Teri). The views expressed by the author are personal.]

Hello Mr Rajesh and Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog….I will reply your query one by one as follows:
To Mr Rajesh : Dopt has added Indian corporate Law service in CSE the very first time…so nobody including me has any idea about it…..This service must be recently created owing to the global conditions and increasing role of MNCs etc…..It must be under the Ministry of company affairs….you can search it on Internet or ask any senior bureaucrat in the government…In any case, since it is a Group ‘A’ service selected through UPSC must have good scope and career opportunities….being a MBA graduate you can always opt for it…..good luck…further query is welcome….keep blogging….
To Miss Anonymous: First of all congratulations on your grand success in CSE-08 and entering in to prestigious IRS[C&CE]…..regarding life at NACEN,the campus is beautiful….having all the basic facilities e.g. Gym,swimming pool, basket ball court, badminton court,Internet lab, pool, etc. Regarding hostels, There are three types of accommodation available here….Single occupancy in ‘Bhagirathi’ and’ Alaknanda’ which are air cooled and double occupancy in ‘Mandakini’ which are air conditioned….There is separation for male or female officers….both shares the same hostel/floor….in case of large numbers of females you can have a separate wing in a hostel if you wish so……some family quarters and type-4 rooms are also available for married and unmarried officers…..Inside the room, every room has attached bathroom and intercom phone with other basic requirement….in ‘Mandakini hostel’ you have colour Tv,small Fridge, intercom phone and kitchen also…We have good attendant facility, they are available 24*7 but quite less in numbers…they will take care of everything you need e.g. cleaning, watering and other requirement you may have….NACEN has very good AC mess with approx 200 sitting capacity….the quality of the food [specially for north Indian] is also good….of course you will have mess committee which can decide the menu …….In your batch, since number of IRS officers are huge thus NACEN is planning to hire some hotel or some of you may get accommodation in near by NIFM[National institute of financial management] where rooms and campus is also very beautiful….so I don’t think that you will have any problem….hostels are generally non AC across the country [in NPA also]….fortunately in NACEN,we have some AC rooms…. Regarding the second attempt, you are very right that being a married women you will have some practical problem in IFS and IPS…you can think about IAS but cadre will always a problem and even if you get the cadre of your choice the mobility in the service is so huge that it may create some problem for you and your spouse…..so it depends on you…IRS[C&CE] gives you sufficient power and perks to lead a good and satisfactory life…but if you really want interaction with common people then appear for IAS….since you have already cleared CSE-09 pre…you can appear for mains also and test your luck as you will not be getting too much time for mains as FC is mandatory and very hectic also……Regarding the salary, during FC,you will get Rs 21000/- only and rest of the amount you will get in lum-sum when you join NACEN in 2010…..and in NACEN, you will get Rs 27000/- approx. in hand after deductions…so the money aspect is also very good…so just chill in and enjoy the FC…you will have great fun in NACEN as training schedule is very cool with lots of attachment…you can have realyBharat Darshan’ in IRS[C&CE] only…for more information you can visit the NACEN website on www.nacen.gov.in ……further query is welcome….keep blogging…..

Hello Mr/Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it...Regarding your query, there are some candidates in the past which were not allotted any post due to disability but the real cause may be the vague medical standards or the requirement but later on all of them must be accommodated....so you should not worry about it....about the next query, I am not sure about the exact method of determination of the level of disability...for this you can refer the UPSC website or can contact to any doctor who is conducting medical examinations....the only thing which I can advice you is...you fill your status as handicap and write the exam....at the time of medical examination, if you fall in the disability category then you will get the benefit of reservation otherwise you will be considered as normal candidate...and of course at the time of medical ,your physical status will be taken care of...don't worry about these sundry things...just focus on study and do hard work to crack the exam...these things are small in nature...so go ahead and remove all of your worries from your mind..good luck.....further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Hello Mr Dattu,Mr Mandeep and Mr/Miss Anonymous, thanks to all of you for your visits on the blog and kind words about it…..I congratulate you all for the selection in CSE-08…..Regarding the post about IRS[C&CE] Vs IRS[IT], though the writer has elaborately discussed all the aspects but still you can discuss wth your own friends or seniors belonging to these services for more clarification…..Regarding skipping FC,Mr Dattu, you have all the right to skip FC or not to take service this year….But what I feel UPSC not only requires hard work but luck also…If you are confident enough that you can get very good rank next year you can go ahead and don’t join this service…but one should be cautious enough in the era of intense competition…..rest is your choice…good luck for CSE-09…..Regarding the other query posed by Mr/Miss Anonymous and Mr Mandeep, FC is definitely compulsory this year….If you have not received joining letter so far, you need to contact to DOPT and not UPSC for service matter as UPSC’s role is over after the final result…..you can get the contact numbers of section officer of DOPT from www.persmin.nic.in website in the ‘citizen corner’ link [left hand side column] or from ‘contact us’ link…..further query is welcome…..keep blogging….

The hectic Schedule of Foundation Course [FC]...reply to Mr Dattu

Hello Mr Dattu, thanks for your visit on the blog....regarding your query the schedule of FC is very hectic. You will be asked to get up at 5:30 AM and PT will start at 5:45AM till 7:15AM....after that from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, you will have lectures [most of them will be highly boring]....then from 2:15 PM to 6:20 PM you will have again lectures....after that on some days you will have some cultural events e.g. music, classical, etc...so, some time you will be free at 9PM....in between you may have lot of high tea [snacks and chat session with Director General]....In all these activities the participation is mandatory....some times, in between the lectures and cultural events, roll call can happen...Besides, you will have one Essay competition, almost 10 days village visit programme, approx 15 days trekking schedule, HOPE project, One Act play programme ,Feast and numerous other activities such as protocol duties...In between you will have two exams one in between and one during last days of FC....thus it is clearly evident that FC is very hectic...But FC is really a great fun....theoretically you will not get any time to prepare for mains but you can take risk to skip some classes [for that memo will be issued ,of course] and prepare for mains...You need not take tension of FC exams as the question papers are very easy in nature and almost all of them are suggestions based which I feel all of you can pass without any study at all...The only one paper which requires some attention is ‘Law Paper’ ......thus You have to put extra mile effort because the general mood in FC is full fun....so to maintain tempo, a lot of extra effort is required...you can form your core team of your friends to prepare for mains...you can study throughout the night and can very well sleep in class [which you will do in any case due to very boring lectures]. You can opt for the same city of FC as your mains exam centre.....
Regarding skipping FC, it may be really risky business this year because Dopt is really taking a lot of pain to organise FC for so many candidates at a time....so just be cautious on this point...those who did it in previous years may have some good links inside or some very valid reasons to do so.....but this year the situation is entirely different...you can talk to some other guys and known persons inside Dopt [if you have any one] and then decide...personally, I will not advise you to skip FC.......further query is welcome....keep blogging....

Reply to Mr Kshitij

Hello Mr Kshitij, thanks for your visit on the blog....We have already clarified in our previous posting that UPSC has deleted the link to the mark sheet for CSE-08...so We can't publish any mark sheet now onwards as we have the process to retrieve the data directly from UPSC server....further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous,Mr Dattu,Mr Nikhil

Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous,Mr Dattu, Mr Akhil...thanks for your visit on the blog and congratulations on your success in CSE-2008.....I will reply your queries one by one...
To Mr/Miss Anonymous :
Indian audit and account service gives you much diversity, international exposure, opportunity to work in world bank,UN and other international agencies as compared to IES. You can definitely leave IES for IAAS...regarding the returning to IES after technical resignation, you can very well return to IES as you have completed your probation period. Kindly do all the effort to get clearance from your department...I don't think there will be any problem in it...if you have any problem then approach to the senior most officer of your department and ask him to releave you...In worst possible case if you are not able to get it by august last, you can join FC after some days but inform Dopt and respective place of FC immediately.
To Mr/Miss Anonymous :
Yes you can definitely assume the same attire and clothes requirement as mentioned in MCR,LBSNAA and on this blog...as FC programme will be the same...Bhopal academy is conducting FC first time, that is why they are ill equipped.
To Mr Dattu:
Unfortunately FC is compulsory from this year...It is a new experiment by DOPT...leave provision will not be applicable this year as you have to report to FC...you can not postpone it and can't attend it next year...So don't take risk and join FC....Some of the candidates have approached to DOPT in this regard but they blatantly replied regarding mandatory FC...what you can do is fill the mains centre of the place of FC...it will be easy for you to appear there because only the day of examination you will get the leave....good luck...
To Mr Akhil:
The ranks 79,82,133 which you mentioned have not been allocated any services due to many reasons e.g.
[1] they may not have submitted all the documents e.g. caste certificate, degree certificate, etc
[2] they may have some medical fitness problems.
I hope I have replied to all of your queries...further query is welcome... keep blogging.....

A comparative study of IRS[C&CE] Vs IRS [IT].....A Model Service preference order for CSE-2009 Mains Form

Now It is the time to fill the UPSC mains form for CSE-2009....Numerous candidates face difficulties in filling the preference of services due to lack of knowledge. Neutral views is publishing a write up by one of the IRS officer to clear the air on this issue.
“In CSE-08, Rank-78 has opted for IRS[IT], Rank-140,160 for IRS[C&Ce]...these examples reflect a break with tradition maturing of the things in CS. With globalisation, not only the role of services has undergone a paradigm shift but the people’s choices and priorities have also changed considerably. Now a days, more and more candidates are opting for central services especially IRS [C&CE] and IRS[IT] over others. This is a healthy trend. The role of revenue services is bound to increase in future.
Still a large number of aspirants are not informed of the full scope of various services and hence are in dilemma over the selection of services. They frequently heed to advice of coaching institutes which themselves are not fully aware of various services.
One of the biggest dilemma has been deciding between IRS [C&CE] and IRS[IT], both have Ministry of Finance as cadre controlling authority. IRS[C&CE] used to be the clear choice in the 1990’s but the situation has changed recently. Due to the greater visibility of IRS[IT] people are now going for IT without being aware of the full scope of IRS[C&CE] whose role has changed considerably and scope broadened post globalization and with the addition of service tax to its kitty.
Here I will like to place facts before the candidates so that they can decide easily according to their personal preference.
IRS [C&CE] administer and collects central excise, customs, service tax and narcotics of government of India. Few people are aware of the fact that service tax is administered by IRS [C&CE].
The advantages are :
[1] Service tax is the future of Govt of India’s revenue. It is the fastest growing tax of the world [Services contributes 55% of India’s GDP and it is bound to increase in future]. Currently it is contributing 65000 Cr and it is slated to contribute 20 lakh Cr by 2020.
[2] Like IAS, IRS[C&CE] offers greatest diversity of job profile. One gets to administer taxes. Besides, there is a role of this service in :
[a] homeland security
[b] preventing narcoterrorism
[c]regulating narcotics
[d] facilitation of trade in customs
[e] checking serious frauds through DRI,DGCI which are totally manned by IRS[C&CE]
[f] Deputation in CBI,RAW and IB, UPSC [Ms Praveen Talha]
[g] one IRS[C&CE]officer in every SEZ
[h] intellectual property rights
[i] guardians of economic frontiers
[j] check on fake currency
[k] administration of various acts related to other ministries e.g. Arms Act,Antiquity Act,etc.
[3]getting administrative power at quite an early age, IRS [C&CE] officer just after probation are in charge of a division as assistant commissioner [AC].
[4] AC/DC[ deputy comms.] are the cutting edge of this department.
[5] The biggest attraction of IRS[C&CE] is its very cool training and numerous attachments. We have as many as 19 attachments [field training outside academy]..maximum for any service. We are attached with CBN,DGCEI,NPA,NADT,Parliament,Army,Coast guard,NIPFP,Navy,Forest academy, various customs houses, excise and service tax commissionerate. This gives you an excellent opportunity to tour whole of India along with acquisition of knowledge.
[6] There is a great feeling of esprit-De-corps in this service. Probationers are treated as guests when they visit various commissionerate and senior officials try their best to make them comfortable.
IRS [C&CE] has advantages over IRS[IT] as follows:
[1] cool and easy training along with numerous attachment.
[2] Service tax is going to be the king of all taxes
[3]Great diversity of job
[4] administrative power at an early age
[5] uniform service with a huge subordinate staff [in IT no subordinate staff at entry level]
[6] Dealing with high profile corporations with sophisticated client base.
[7] good working environment with spacious offices
[8] wide area of jurisdictions e.g. Merrut chief commissionerate of IRS [C&CE] covers entire UP and Uttarakhand.
For more details about training and photographs one can visit nacen.gov.in and search ‘IRS IN MAKING ‘ in “YouTube.com
The only few advantage of IRS [IT] over IRS [C&CE] are greater visibility in society and so called more nuisance power which is no real power. With the introduction of direct tax code and more computerisation, IRS[IT] is going to loose this nuisance power also in future. Besides
IRS [IT] has following disadvantages:
[1] Smaller jurisdiction
[2] poor working environment
[3]No subordinate staff i.e. you have type your own papers
[4]] IT Inspectors directly to Joint commissioner bypassing Assistant comms.
[5] very very small offices [cubical]
[6] they are referred as glorified clerks
[7] monotonous job profile
Thus by considering the above facts and after taking individual choices, an ideal service order should be [which can vary according to individual preferences]:
[1]IAS/IFS
[2]IPS
[3]IRS [C&CE]
[4]IRS[IT]
[5]IRTS /IAAS {audit}
[6]IRAS {railway accounts}
[7]IRPS
[8]Civil accounts
[9]DANIC
[10]DAPIC
[11]P&T
[12]IIS
[13]Postal
[14]corporate
[15]defence account
[16]RPF
[17]pondichery civil
[18]defence estate
[19]pondichery police
[20]ordinance factory

Hello Miss Upali and MR/Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog and congratulations on joining IRS....regarding your query, I have already written in my previous posting that unfortunately Dopt has made FC compulsory without prior notice or circulars this year....within few days you all will be getting joining letters for FC...you can also check the respective list of FC being conducted at three places i.e. LBSNAA,MCRHRD,Hyderabad and Bhopal....It is very sad that some of the successful candidates who have cleared mains will get very less time to prepare for mains due to hectic FC......but no body can help it....muster some courage and work hard along with enjoying FC...good luck...further query is welcome...the next posting within few hours on the blog is very important related with IRS...kindly must read it.....keep blogging...

Service allocation of CSE-2008....Injustice with the candidates

The Dopt has finally came out with the most awaited service allocation for CSE-2008 candidates....The most surprising thing [though it was leaked by informal channels] is the mandatory FC provisions from this year.....I feel this is grossly inadequate and injustice with the successful candidates...Though government may be having some valid reasons to do so but Candidates must have been informed well in advance at least at the time of declaration of the final CSE result..that way numerous candidates would have saved their precious attempts....Though all the services are good and have good career prospects but to maintain efficiency and motivation, one should get service of his/her choice....ultimately it is a matter of next 30-35 years.
Besides, the trifurcation of FC is going to neutralise the basic purpose of the whole FC programme.....apart from it, those who will appear for CSE-09 mains will not be able to enjoy the FC whole heartedly...this will definitely defeat the real motto of FC.
Still, one should look brighter aspects of any issue...I urge the candidates to not to take tension...Just join FC and try to prepare whenever you get chance [though FC is quite hectic with lots of enjoyment]....so all the best.....keep blogging...

Hello Miss Ashima Batra, thanks for your visit on the blog and congrats on your grand success in CSE-2008 and CSE-2009[pre]....I can understand your fear...as far as I have the information, It is totally a rumour..so don't heed it....Dopt is already facing a huge crisis to accommodate and provide FC to more then 400 candidates at a time....The information which I received about the mandatory clause of FC is...earlier in some services, FC was not mandatory that means If you once miss the FC, you need not attend it afterwards..but from this year onwards, every service has made it mandatory to attend FC once in the whole career...so It means that you need not attend FC this year specifically but you have to attend it afterwards......so Now,I think you need not worry about any thing and concentrate on your preparation for mains.....good luck...further query is welcome....keep blogging......

Reply to Mr/Miss Anonymous

Hello Mr/Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it.....It is really painful to not to receive any official communication from Dopt regarding FC even after so many days....but this is how Indian bureaucracy works.....Now, It will be a moral duty of newly recruited bureaucrat to make things all right...Any way regarding your query, most probably this year IAS,IPS and IFS [foreign service] candidates will undergo FC at LBSNAA and rest of the candidates [including Indian Forest Service] will go to MCR HRD...though unofficial sources suggested the trifurcation of FC due to reluctance of MCR HRD to host FC for more than 200 candidates....So roughly you can guess your place of FC according to rank and probable service and book the tickets accordingly....Enjoy the FC...good luck...further query is welcome...keep blogging....

Hello Mr Prasanth Balantrapu, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it....regarding your query, you have taken a right approach....after Polity you can start Sc & Tech, Geography,Economics, Social issues and Statistics...Devote your significant time in the preparation for 2 markers also.....The current affairs [National and International] can be prepared next year.....It is always better to prepare conventional part of GS P-1 and P-2 much earlier before actual Mains...so good luck for mains....further query is welcome...keep blogging....

Hello Mr/Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it.....Regarding the FC-83.... For past 21 days I was in Hyderabad [NPA] for police training and I went to MCR HRD of AP....One of my friend [IAS,AP cadre] is undergoing training there....I got the information that this year 83 rd FC may be conducted at three places i.e LBSNA,MCR HRD, and third place not decided yet.....for MCR HRD is reluctant to conduct FC for more than 200 candidates....So you must wait for the directions from Dopt regarding 83rd FC...still regarding the clothes and other sundry items..As I have mentioned in earlier post, you will require the following things:
[1] one Black gala-band coat [ saree for females]
[2] 2 pairs of suit [colour of your choice] [saree or salwaar suit for females]
[3] 4-5 pairs of formal shirts and paint
[4] matching tie
[5]black shoe
[6]white sports shoe
other than this you will require some other things depending on the programmes e.g. for trekking you will require a lot of things that you can purchase at that time only [few items will be provided by the academy]....For PT dress, they will provide you at the time of joining....The weather condition at Hyderabad is a bit hot, so you can purchase some cotton stuffs too.... So just wait till the formal instructions come......further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Regarding marksheets of CSE-2008

Hello all, UPSC has deleted the link for CSE-2008 exam from its website as the next cycle has started [CSE-09]..Since We don't maintain any database for CSE-08...We have the mechanism to directly fetch the data from UPSC server...It will be impossible to publish the mark sheets of CSE-08 now onwards.....keep blogging...

Kudos to successful candidates of CSE-2009[Pre]

Hello...kudos to all the successful candidates of CSE-09[Pre].....You have proven your hard work and determination..now it is the time for preparation for CSE-mains.....As soon as possible start preparing for mains as time remaining is very less....don't leave any stone unturned....Those who didn't qualify in pre this year, don't loose hurt, next year will definitely be yours....so just prepare well for the next attempt...good luck for UPSC mains....keep blogging...

Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Hello Mr/Miss Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it...congratulations on your grand success in CSE-2008....If you belongs to general category then at the rank of 405, definitely you will get IRS[C&CE]....regarding Danics/Dopics.these services are Group B services..but their profile is good..you will serve as DSP or SDM in Delhi and Pondicheery i.e all UTs...only problem is the promotion...the promotion rate is very slow in DANICS/DOPICS because they are generally dominated by all India services such as IAS/I
PS....The training for DANICS/DOPICS conducted at New Delhi which will commence from December 09......The overall rank at which one can get DANICS/DOPICS is not known as it depends on individual preference indicated at the time of Mains examination....regarding service allocation, you are going to get very soon..It may be possible that Dopt is waiting the pending verdict of honourable SC [in the reservation issue]...any way the probable date of foundation is first September..so with in this month all will get the instructions......all the best and if attempts left then prepare well for next attempt...in general all the services recruited by UPSC are very powerful and good in nature...further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Reply to Mr Dattu

Hello Mr Dattu, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it...congratulations on your grand success in CSE-2008 and welcome to IRS [C&CE]....Regarding your query, you are welcome to appear in CSE-2009....After the prelims result, you will be asked by Dopt whether you want to apper in CSE-2009 or not...you need to fill a simple letter send by Dopt [or you can apply online on www.persmin.nic.in] ...... regarding the FC, so far, there is no compulsion in IRS [IT] and IRS[C&CE] to attend FC but most probably from this year you have to attend FC once mandatory...so Ministry of Finance will give you one opportunity to attend FC...so don't worry about that...kindly just prepare well for CSE-2009.....rest of the thing will be taken care by either Dopt or Ministry of Finance......after appearing in CSE-2009, you can directly join NACEN, Faridabad in the month of December....good luck for CSE-2009....further query is welcome...keep blogging...
