Regarding AUGMUT..Reply to Mr Ajay Pratap

Hello Mr Ajay Pratap, thanks for your visit on the blog....Regarding your query, you need not worry about Hindi/Non Hindi...Even if you don't get north states, then you will have the good tutor facility to teach you a language of your cadre state..Regarding AUGMUT, of course there will be insider/outsider criteria, but since requirement of Delhi is quite high, you will have fare chance to work more in Delhi...further query is welcome...keep blogging..

Regarding cadre...Reply to Miss/Mr Ias

Hello Miss/Mr Ias, thanks for your visit on the blog....Regarding your query, Cadre is a term used for indication of a particular state in which officials of All India Service e.g. IAS,IPS and IFoS[Forest Service] have to serve throughout their career. For e.g. Mr X belongs to UP Cadre..It means Mr X is a all India service officer who got UP state for his entire career..However, in between, officials can come to Centre on deputation for few years..after that term, they have to go back to their cadre state...It means, even if your home state is Tamil Nadu, if you are allotted J &K cadre, then you have to serve in J & K only except few deputation posting at Centre or other places. In the same way, Delhi comes under AUGMUT cadre in which apart from Delhi, other Union territory[UT] comes where you have to go periodically...further query is welcome..keep blogging..

IIM or IAS/IPS...Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...Regarding your dilemma, it is very natural in current milieu..See, it should be entirely your decision based on your own dreams and requirements. If you are power hungry, attracted by red/blue beacon lights, body guards, want to work for common people, etc then you must go for IAS/IPS. There are ample examples in IAS/IPS who want to take VRS because they may not be satisfied with the slow working style of government set up, less salary, decreasing power, interference by politicians, etc. Thus if you belongs to 5 star and metro culture, want to have huge money [of course clean], living in big houses, travel by BMW or Mercedez, frequent travel abroad, etc then you must think about IIM and corporates because you can't get these things in government service legally. Therefor be clear about your dreams/goals then decide the course of action...In any case, in coming future, era of specialist is coming...grass root democracy is strengthening, literacy is increasing thus no more IAS domination will be there. But of course, IPS is going to be stronger day by day due to law and order problems and related complications.further query is welcome...keep blogging...

IRPS Vs DySP in UP.....Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...First of all congratulations on your grand success in UPSC as well as in UPPCS as DySP...Regarding your query, at your rank, possible you will get IRS[C&CE] owing to the huge number of seats..It may be possible that you may also get IRPS....Though both the services are good enough..Regarding the choice between IRPS & DySP...It is going to be tougher decision....You have to consider your own desires, factor of satisfaction,etc...IRPS being a central service and related with Railways, you can have good accommodation facility, free unlimited travelling, huge options of posting on deputation in various ministries as well as foreign postings....In DySP, your whole career will move around in UP only..If your age is less then you can think about DIG or maximum IG rank at the time of retirement..you will have problem in promotion to IPS [even after 20-25 years of service] besides you have lot of work pressure along with immense political interference from petty politicians at very local level...But, in DySP you will have good man power with you e.g. servant, furnished accommodation, vehicle, etc which is not available in IRPS...But in DySP you have to work as a junior officer in Police hierarchy along with sideline works e.g. traffic police, HQ,Home Guard, etc as good postings will be occupied by Direct IPS officials. If you have good political connections in UP then you can have good life in DySP. Finally, if you dream about red beacon lights, Body Guards, ruthless 'Lathi' Power, turbulent and exciting life, habit of getting salutes from subordinates, etc then go for DySP as these things will not be available in IRPS...I hope I am able to partially clear your confusion...If still, you have some doubts, then leave your contact number on neutralviews@gmail.com , you will get welcome call directly from Mr Manmauji...further query is welcome...keep blogging...

My experience as an Assistant Commissioner [AC]...Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog....You have asked me to pen down my experience as an Assistant Commissioner[AC]...Let me share my experiences......We, a batch of 105 of 60th batch of IRS[C&CE] Probationers were relieved from NACEN, Faridabad on 14th of May 2010. We joined our respective locations on next Monday....Apart from joining formalities, We were asked to wait for few days for the final allocation of exact place of postings....I got posting some where in northern part of this great country. Finally I joined office on 31st of May,2010 as an independent 'AC'....I was a bit nervous but fully charged determined to change things from the bottom. I found huge mismanagement, pile up of files with red tape across them [remember red tapism??], gross indiscipline among junior officers, etc...Almost all pejorative sign I have seen in my division. The tax arrears are around 200 Cr...The incumbent 'AC' didn't take any pain to recover the government dues...The office hours are from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM but people come at 11 AM and work starts at 11:30 AM....This problem was pathetic in my Division. I started coming to office at 9:20 AM and made surprise checks...Now things are improving slowly and officials start coming by 10 AM....There are incidences of rampant corruption at every stage from receipt of DAK [approx Rs-100/- per DAK] to issuing various licences. No file will move until clients pay money and be present in front of the officer....These are very serious issues...I have seen files pending from year 2004....The refund/rebate claims of clients pending from year 2003 onwards....Some time, I feel help less as I can do very little to remove all these dark sides of the department.
Thus, one fine morning, I circulated one sheet asking the brief details about my subordinate officials and their experiences in the Department, their status of satisfaction/dissatisfaction and suggestions to improve the over all functioning of the department. Some of them come up with the quick reply. Some of them just copied the suggestions from their colleagues [I told them this too] sheet...But, I am happy that now things are changing in my division. Officials have realised the winds of change...They are coming forward and ready to work...Now all the computers are working properly in my division. I am about to get link them with the Internet..I am preparing a data base of the clients and trying to contact them through E-Mails....Sending the intimation about the status of their file through E-Mail, asking their problems and possible suggestions....Some of the clients are responding this positive move nicely..Some of them are not taking any interest...Thus I realised, the change is possible in the government department too provided It should come from the top and taking every body in to confidence. Every body in the department should realise his/her importance and significance....The change will be permanent if clients will also co-operate with this new change..I am trying to use IT service to minimise the client-government interface to minimise the incidence of corruption....I believe 'CHANGE IS POSSIBLE AND VERY NEAR BY IN MY DIVISION WHERE CLIENTS WILL BE HAPPY AND GOVERNMENT WILL EARN HUGE REVENUE'........keep blogging
