IIM or IAS/IPS...Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...Regarding your dilemma, it is very natural in current milieu..See, it should be entirely your decision based on your own dreams and requirements. If you are power hungry, attracted by red/blue beacon lights, body guards, want to work for common people, etc then you must go for IAS/IPS. There are ample examples in IAS/IPS who want to take VRS because they may not be satisfied with the slow working style of government set up, less salary, decreasing power, interference by politicians, etc. Thus if you belongs to 5 star and metro culture, want to have huge money [of course clean], living in big houses, travel by BMW or Mercedez, frequent travel abroad, etc then you must think about IIM and corporates because you can't get these things in government service legally. Therefor be clear about your dreams/goals then decide the course of action...In any case, in coming future, era of specialist is coming...grass root democracy is strengthening, literacy is increasing thus no more IAS domination will be there. But of course, IPS is going to be stronger day by day due to law and order problems and related complications.further query is welcome...keep blogging...

IRPS Vs DySP in UP.....Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...First of all congratulations on your grand success in UPSC as well as in UPPCS as DySP...Regarding your query, at your rank, possible you will get IRS[C&CE] owing to the huge number of seats..It may be possible that you may also get IRPS....Though both the services are good enough..Regarding the choice between IRPS & DySP...It is going to be tougher decision....You have to consider your own desires, factor of satisfaction,etc...IRPS being a central service and related with Railways, you can have good accommodation facility, free unlimited travelling, huge options of posting on deputation in various ministries as well as foreign postings....In DySP, your whole career will move around in UP only..If your age is less then you can think about DIG or maximum IG rank at the time of retirement..you will have problem in promotion to IPS [even after 20-25 years of service] besides you have lot of work pressure along with immense political interference from petty politicians at very local level...But, in DySP you will have good man power with you e.g. servant, furnished accommodation, vehicle, etc which is not available in IRPS...But in DySP you have to work as a junior officer in Police hierarchy along with sideline works e.g. traffic police, HQ,Home Guard, etc as good postings will be occupied by Direct IPS officials. If you have good political connections in UP then you can have good life in DySP. Finally, if you dream about red beacon lights, Body Guards, ruthless 'Lathi' Power, turbulent and exciting life, habit of getting salutes from subordinates, etc then go for DySP as these things will not be available in IRPS...I hope I am able to partially clear your confusion...If still, you have some doubts, then leave your contact number on neutralviews@gmail.com , you will get welcome call directly from Mr Manmauji...further query is welcome...keep blogging...
