Regarding optionals in CSE-2013...Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Miss/Mr Anonymous:- sir what r the chances of having no optiontals from 2013?is there some authentic news regarding this development?pls guide
Manmauji:- Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...Regarding your query, the idea of scrapping optionals in CSE mains exam is under active consideration but so far no concrete outcome is on anvil...UPSC will definitely announce well in advance if there are any changes in the scheme of examination may be one year before the actual changes...This time will be enough to adjust with the changes...So don't worry and prepare well with existing system...good luck...further query is welcome...keep on blogging...

IRS Vs IPS...Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Miss/Mr Anonymous:- sir...please let me know the pros n cons of the services IRS n IPS...which is better?
Manmauji:- Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog..I am extremely sorry to not to reply in time...Regarding your query, as I have mentioned in similar earlier queries too,the client base is entirely different for both these services..therefore it is futile to compare both services...however,I will try to illustrate few visible things in these services:-
For IPS:- You are too much visible in this service which brings numerous opportunities as well as challenges too...If your temper matches with the life of a cop then nothing like it.You will always be surrounded by man in uniform, spacious houses,servants,24 hour job,no quality time with family[at least in initial days],political interference, social responsibility, immense gun and muscle power [virtually] and may have the feeling of a BIG man...but it comes with immense sense of responsibility too..If you like this job than you can contribute a lot to the society and common people. But you don't like your job, you will get frustrate very soon as working hours and not fixed and client base is also very different than IRS.Besides, you have specific cadre though you can serve in central forces as well.
For IRS:- In both IRS[C&CE] and IRS[IT], you will have relatively very less social visibility.Your neighbour may not be knowing who is residing in his/her neighbour house. Both these services are lacking in basic infrastructure constraints right from bottom to the top level such as Vehicles, spacious houses, servants, guards etc. However, it is a typical office job where you work in an Air Conditioned room with limited client base as you have to deal with trade and rich people...Your place of postings are also generally in urban areas. so you can enjoy good quality family life. These services are very technical in nature. However, there is an improvement now a days in infrastructure at all levels but it will take years to come to reach at par with other services. The only problem which I feel with these services is a limited exposure which is focused to the financial aspects only though you can go on deputation to different departments.still, there are lot of things needs to be done in these services. So choice is yours depending on your temperament, taste, preferences etc as sky is the limit for all services to grow once selected through UPSC...so good luck...further query is welcome...keep on blogging..
