LIFE IS COFFEE

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to hot coffee. When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other's cups. Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change. Some times, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it." Don't let the cups drive you...... Enjoy the coffee instead

ONE PARAGRAPH THAT EXPLAINS LIFE!

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983. From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"? To this Arthur Ashe replied: "The world over -- 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals, when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD 'Why me?'. And today in pain I should not be asking GOD 'Why me?' " "Happiness keeps you Sweet, Trials keep you Strong, Sorrow keeps you Human, Failure keeps you humble and Success keeps you glowing, but only Faith & Attitude Keeps you going...

ARE YOU " M.B.A." ??

I just returned from popular Adda.... I mean "Anil Chai Wala"...I met just few souls with their hairs in air [just like Dogs with curly hairs] eyeing on babes passing through the Road. There are also aunty and Bhabis too [I was also trying to hunt...].Suddenly one beautiful shape appeared in front of us...I thought IS SHE M.B.A.? [Married But Available]...at least I wish affirmatively [& so else too].
I think a large chunk of us [including babes] are M.B.A. in different sense. Some body may be Minor But Adult [M.B.A.][at least showing to be to get early advantages]....OR....some one may be Miser But affluent [M.B.A]. Thus at least we can be sure that we are already M.B.A....so no need to worry about going for another degree. But for a healthy relationship we must analyse ourselves and recognise our strength and weaknesses else we will be known as another type of M.B.A. i.e. Mediocre But Arrogant.

NOTE THE DOUBLE STANDARDS OF "THE HINDU"

I hope everybody has gone through today's news paper specially THE HINDU. If we compare the news items of this paper with other news papers then double standards of The Hindu can be noticed.I am indicating the news related with ongoing disturbances in Tibbet. while other news papers have covered this news from myriads of angles, the so called paper of the elites and civil services aspirants has published only one article with one photograph on the front page.Had it been any news with Amirican involvement then it would have pulished numerous articles with editorial with candour [though it is Sunday today]. Do you know why???
I tell you it is because this paper follows communist ideology so strongly that whatever China or any communist country will do it will not see any problem with that [I am not the supporter of USA too ...it is Neutral views man...]. WE must speak against this hypocracy of this so called reputed news paper.

AN INSENSITIVE FEMALE DOCTOR AT BLOOD DONATION CAMP IN RAJINDER NAGAR

Yesterday there was a blood camp in Rajinder Nagar arranged by Lion's club and AIIMS.I happened to pass from the road and saw the van and decided to let my blood out for noble cause.Though there was an early campaign through banner was made but I haven't heed it that time [another example of serendipity??].I filled the form with very cooperative and motivating staff who even offered me bananas and fruity.I entered in to van and found babes and brave guys lying on the beds [Hey..only for noble cause...you dirty mind???].
When I was lying it was around 3pm.The doctors [including that female babe doc..uhh..not beautiful] seems tired and decided to close their camp. But owing to the huge response from brave future civil servant [....is not this statement an oxymoron???] they decided to continue. But that not so ugly babe doc was reluctant and smiled sarcastically on the response shown by we brave human being with all sorts of humanities [though I don't feel any great humanness in donating blood....it should be natural because it's formation is not regulated by us and also we are not quite aware how it forms (despite studying biology for long for civil service exam).....I don't feel any proud while pissing which also forms without my knowledge and no information how it forms???] .I felt very bad about her gesture. She must show some respect to the students who lined up without any offer of materialistic gains.

Serendipity...serendipity...serendipity???

I always bewildered on the front of planning for any moment or even for my life.I have seen few of my friends with meticulous planning about everything they do [or even think;some even have planned till the last breath] . I wondered how it is possible to plan so elaborately when even you are not sure about the coming seconds. So far, when I look back into my life I found my achievements as a mere case of serendipity.Things are just happening as if somebody else has planned for me [or may have decided my destiny already...i think i would have enjoyed my life much more if i will know my already fixed destiny...simply no tension] .
In this sequence yesterday night I got the result of Rajasthan PCS Pre positively [look another case of serendipity].I was not expecting it due to bad performance in general study paper as it contained more than 78% questions from Rajasthan state only [Why commission allows outsiders then??].
I feel ,though meticulous planning is possible with slight effort but it is not the cup of tea for all and I belong to later category.I am enjoying the state of planlessness and ofcourse serendipity.
Today afternoon or coming Monday,I am waiting for another case of serendipity[IAS mains result is going to come].

एक मित्र के द्वारा भेजा गया उपदेश; आप भी पढो

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said,'Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.

'The Lord led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle ofthe room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a largepot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouthwater.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appearedto be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped totheir arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew andtake a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, theycould not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell.

'They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the sameas the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which madethe holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the samelong-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand.

'It is simple,' said the Lord. 'It requires but one skill. You see theyhave learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only ofthemselves.'

THE RASCAL LAND LORDS IN RAJINDER NAGAR

There is a huge gulf between demand and supply of good and affordable houses for civil service aspirants in this area.It provides the huge opportunity to all rascals and greedy land lords to exploit poor students.Since preparation for civil service became a national pass time,a large chunk of aspirants are joining each year. This further aggravates room crunch. The room rents have increased up to Rs 5000/- per room [water bill and power bills extra, so far no O2 bill otherwise it will also add].Few so called kind landlords waive off water bill and repeat this kindness in front as if they have performed "अस्वमेगहा यज्ना".These rascals can go upto any extent to earn money.Even some of my not so closed friends told that even land lord's famale movable assets are also available on rent [though he doesn't have any documented proof for this claim but I wish it is true...Am I so angry with them??].There has to be so concerted effrot by IT department to raid on these Rascals for service tax.

PETTY SOOD BOOK STORE & ^^^ HE^^^

Sood Book Store is an oldest book stall in Rajinder Nagar catering the needs of Civil Service Aspirants and those who requires guidance for the same [Though he always tried to influence new kids on the bloc to maximise his sails]. I bewildered how he manages with that size of a pigeon hole and influences successfully to even clever Babes.Mr Sood has a characterstic posture through which he tries to maintain his position in the highly competitive market where another shop adjacent to his always spreads net to catch atleast Babes. It is now a universal truth[you can even tell your kids just like 'Sun rises in East'] that SOOD NEVER LAUGHS HE ONLY OBLIGE YOU WITH THE MOVEMENT OF HIS NECK.
But this is not a problem dear. The problem is ^^^HE^^^.I am using this special character to indicate another boook seller to mark his unique traits. He is the dirtiest, foolest and 'obnoxious weed' in real sense. He hates all those who visited Mr. Sood. Somebody must rise to the occassion and tell that 'weed' to behave responsibly with future bureaucrat to sustain in the market.I even recommend the sealing of his shop [Am I too harsh? Am I promoting monopoly for Sood?then he will definitely exploit all of us because Sood is also not very gentle] by MCD worker.I welcome the readers to share their experiences with ^^^HIM^^^.

"Obnoxious weeds" at Rajinder Park

I usually go to Vivekanad Park 0r Rajinder Park for evening walk and some time for morning walk too[though it is not regular]. I feel very happy by seeing so many beautiful [& also very ugly] faces, health concious joggging all around with ear phones intact.I was perturbed by my ignorance and poor attitude towards maintaing health.I confess this infront of my friend who also came for a walk.He started laughing and said dear it was not all about "health conciousness" but some other factors also involved behind this young crowd here.
After some hard bargaining he told an interesting statistics and meticulous observations about some fixed patterns of some beautiful ,hot n sexy babes who are the attractive forces for this so called health concious crowd. I was amused by my ignorance.
Once I went in the evening it was around 7pm.The lights were not on due to some technical fault.I heard some abnormal sounds coming from "the jhaad". I stopped there[though I guessed what must be going on] and rotated my head in a surprise.I saw one couple [must be an IAS aspirant] doing "GUTARGOON" taking the advantage of blackout in the park. This is not fair. These "obnoxious weeds " must be rooted out from the park which named after a great saint India has ever produced.
You see these things distracts the regular schedule of a person like me though I want to do same type of "GUTURGOON' if get the chance [ Am I hipocrat??? ]

hi manmaujiits gd to interact u thru blog ,a wonderful experienceto read ur post on obnoxious weed,i ll learning thru ur neutralview,at the same time if i m able to add input i ll definitely do that, thnks for inviting to ur blog, take care bye

kyo dare jindagi mei kya hoga??.... kuchh na hoga to tazurba hoga..

These lines I heard from my friend living in United Kingdom. This is the message from famous writer Mr. Ghalib. It gives the required strength to the fighting warriors in their respective fields.Yes this is true. What one will loose being failed or what one gain being very successful.Ultimately we have to leave this world today or tomorrow. So why to worry about the failures? One should not fear about the miss fires but think about those moments when one even did not try. So "LAGE RAHO INDIA"

Mr. ANIL "Chai Wala"

This tea stall is a precious and favourite place for hangout for those who are warriors in the civil services field.Since the price of tea [forget about quality] is affordable to everybody [even for shallow pocket majnus] one can see huge crowd lottering around this tea stall. The important thing about this tea stall is not having any special structure for the shop.Anil is just managing with the help of umbrella. He is also providing employment to 2-3 kids with poor faces. He even admitted that he is paying Rs 3000/- for local beat officer to continue his enterprise.Really he is an enterpreneur of 21st century India.Even I heard that he also owns a RS 12Lakh flat in west Delhi.
So this tea shop is a hot spot in Rajinder Nagar catering the need of all sorts of people e.g. dating place, hunting place 4 poor chaps, time pass, discussion place[4 serious studious guys "Pairs"] and 4 those who are interested only in "Bhats".
If you observe Anil tea shop closely you will find that it is environment friendly[LPG is used];hence must be ISO 140001 certified.Even Anil is thinking about claiming for valuable"Carbon Credits" which will further boost up his income.I wish him good luck.
But only problematic thing I found at Anil tea shop is practise of child labour.3-4 kids are serving and even preparing tea for IAS aspirants. This must stop immediately.I wish some brave "Pairs" will come to rescue to these kids from Anil's changul.

THANKS Mr anonymous

Thanks dear anonymous for wishing me good luck for my results.I congratulate you for your great work for street childran. It is great because the medium where you are working is full of professionals where maximum people are concerned of their own betterment and zeroed to their kith and kins only[Please don't misunderstood me].I think India needs people like you in much quantity at every strata and in every profession to create an example which can be emulated by fellow persons. Thanks for giving me your valuable time and writing comment.I will appreciate your views on making this blog more lively and intresting to the readers.

DON'T PREACH,LET US DO SOMETHING NOW

Once again I thanks to the keen readers of my Blog to express their views neutrally which is the real purpose of this blog as it also bears the name....I promise to publish all the comments from all the readers however harsh it may.
Yesterday night I returned from Roorkee[Uttarakhand] after appearing for UT PCS exam.I saw numerous incidences of poverty along the route from Delhi. It is not only interiors of UP or other states but the scenes outside the Old Delhi railway station [specially in a narrow street filled with fruit shops and people in filthy and dirty conditions].I sanked in to deep thoughts.I thought various causes ranging from failure of delivery mechanism, population growth,rural-urban divide, regional imbalancesn, etc and their solutions like check on population, effective delivery mechanism, sensitisation of the people and civil servants,PURA,etc.
When I was thinking all these things and analysing its pros and cons suddenly One cute but innocent face appeared infront of my eyes asking for buying "CHANA PYAJI" for minimum RS 3/-......I refused thinking it unhygenic and full of dust;that kid left with sad face as nobody else bought. One thought sparked in my mind "DON'T PREACH TOO MUCH Mr Manmauji,do something".Infact this is true.We usually comment and criticize on what is happening but avoid to render some help to needy.Things will change only when We will standup and strat doing something. Now stop preaching and start doing something for the people of the country.
I am happy and thanks to one of the reader who wrote about his work for street children along his work in software firm.Keep it up and guide others for the same.
I am waiting for the results of UPSC and state PCS.I feel if i will enter in to system I can change few things atleast for the betterment of public and stop preaching.

A COMMENT FROM A READER ON ISSUE OF CHILD LABOUR

I really appreciate the effort which you made to at least visit these sites and get the first hand information. Other wise these are more or less drawing room discussion where we make verbal efforts, sympathize with these poor lots, criticize the government and scorn the Bureaucrats. It’s good to know that child labor has diminished in the area but at the cost of what?I would like to add something to your observations which might not be as valuable but at least give me an opportunity to express my views. What ever we are witnessing in terms of appalling conditions of these poor deprived souls in the cause of another disease which is plaguing the states of UP Bihar MP .....and the list goes on ,is the lack of economic development of these states. I guess majority of parents of these children would not like to see their sons and daughters toiling under the hardship of horrendous working conditions. Their hearts must be pining to see the innocence and childhood of their little ones withered by the harsh realities of poverty. No doubt we frequently hear the stories of many children are freed from the captivity of their employers and sent back to their home. But this is just one half of the story. We do not know what happens next. Do we really care to know why they have been pushed into this ugly system of child labor? Only by freeing them from their captivity and punishing their unscrupulous employer have we done our duty. Sometimes I do feel that by victimizing the employer are we not blocking their (poor children and their family) means of sustenance. Had we created enough opportunities for the poor to feed their families then would such situation have risen .Have we really freed them from burden of child labor or unknowingly we have expedited their degradation by creating opportunities for them to become criminals? Have we created a catch 22 situation where we won’t let you work so to earn your bread “Please Beg, Steal, Rob or Kill”. If given an opportunity and means these peasants would also like to get their child educated. But first thing first they have to have something in their belly to make them think. As we know democracy is of the people for the people and by the people .We very well emphasize on the significance on words” of the people and for the people but conveniently forget that it is “BY” the people. As we know the future of human being lies in his own hand (obviously GOD help those who help themselves). Our future lies on our index finger .We make the Politicians they make the policies and then they twist the laws them we complain and the circle keeps on repeating it self. Instead of complaining and whining why not uproot the cause of all ills. We seldom get what we deserve but we get what we want. People in power are corrupt because we support corruption. We want to make our life easy because it requires character to so say a big no what is benefiting us but is immoral. We know power flows from top but is supported from the bottom. And it is the will of the people in power which can change things. And this requires the will of the common man to have such people in power. It’s a simple transitive relation. A=B, B=C then A=C.We want proper clean governance = People in power should be clean and of progressive mind setPeople we elect are Corrupt = We get a corrupt and aimless governanceHenceWe want proper clean governance = We get a corrupt and aimless governance (This is what happens)To elaborate if we take the example of UP its really sad to see the amount of money spent on decoration of parks and statues which do not generate a single penny but perennially consume resources for their maintenance. Any economic initiative is devoured by the monster of dirty Politics (e.g. Reliance retail). The result is people flock to Mumbai in search of job and get thrashed by another breed of Franken steins. So these poor end up loosing their jobs, lives and self respect.I know a common man cannot change this over night but at least we can make our effort to choose right kind of people who represent us and influence the future of coming generations. We as a common people can at least make our effort to choose the kind people with some integrity and vision and who are at least a bit above their self interest. But problem doesn’t end here the next complain is where to find such people especially in an environment where Politics is the first and best refuge of a scoundrel. So my dear friend it has to be one amongst us. We don’t want to compromise our careers and fat salaries, we do not want take extra pain to mend the system, we want somebody to do it for us. When we go to elect people do we sincerely analyze their credentials or we support him just because his sir name is singh, yadav , khan ....... Do we really think objectively or do we help others to think objectively. So what I conclude what we are addressing is a symptom or outcome which has its cause lying somewhere else. And the cause is WE. Before fighting them fight with yourself. And stop sympathizing with poor and start blaming your self. Unless we start holding our self accountable I promise nothing will change.Thank you for your time and patience.

CLARIFICATION TO MY NOTE ON "MY VISIT TO FIROZABAD"

Interestingly I found one critic on my findings about the situation of child labour in Firozabad.First of all I heartly welcome my critic and wish some more criticism on my other notes.
As for the clarification on this note,I want to say that I was quite aware about the problem of child labour in Firozabad. This was the reason I went personally and saw few sites.I visited numerous factories ,few of them are largest in Firozabad.I found a big board declaring that "NO CHILD LABOUR IS PRACTISED HERE" at every factory'gate.I went inside and found only two child labours according to Indian definition of Child labour in those premises.I would like to clarify that I have not visited those places where only family members or their acquaintence are working. There can't be anydoubt on my findings. But still I agree with the fact that Child labour has not been abolished completely from Firozabad.Yes there is a lot to be done to remove it completely. But this is true that the situation has improved drastically in recent times.Any one can go and visit Firozabad any time and find out the truth that I have written.
This is true that government's delivery mechanism has failed substantially but there are also some concrete measures have also being taken to root out this menace from Firozabd. We should recognise this fact too.
Still,if some body has anydoubt I will welcome his/her criticism and will provide further clarification on this issue.
Whatever the condition may be of child labour but who ever is working right now there, there condition is not at all good. They are working in a pathetic conditions, high temperature barefoot,no safety measures,no insurence,no labour union, etc.Government must look these issues and take some effective measures to improve the situation.

WAITING FOR THE CIVIL SERVICES RESULT

I am sitting ideal in front of pc and having myriads of thoughts in my mind this evening...the result of IAS exam and Jharkhand PCS are about to come so little bit tense too....I am not a person who takes lot of tention on small issues but since lot of stake is involved on these results that is why I am tense. But when I see that I am not the only person who is facing this situation,i feel quite relaxed. But this is not the solution to my problem or for anyone who is preparing for this exam.SOmething has to be done quickly as I have already put many years in it.
My friends in the corporate sector has achieved numerous heights in their respective fields. When they see me they become tense and suggest me to quit as soon as possible and join corporate sector as it will give huge opportunity to me to achieve excellence in my life.
But when I close my eyes and ponder over these suggestions then i feel that I never saw a corporate dream.Things may be brighter there and I may not equal them being in public service. But ,definitely,I will draw much more satisfaction in the public service life.I don't have any dream to sleep on the bed of currency. That is why I am continue to wait for the result of Civil service result...
