Regarding cadre...Reply to Miss/Mr Ias

Hello Miss/Mr Ias, thanks for your visit on the blog....Regarding your query, Cadre is a term used for indication of a particular state in which officials of All India Service e.g. IAS,IPS and IFoS[Forest Service] have to serve throughout their career. For e.g. Mr X belongs to UP Cadre..It means Mr X is a all India service officer who got UP state for his entire career..However, in between, officials can come to Centre on deputation for few years..after that term, they have to go back to their cadre state...It means, even if your home state is Tamil Nadu, if you are allotted J &K cadre, then you have to serve in J & K only except few deputation posting at Centre or other places. In the same way, Delhi comes under AUGMUT cadre in which apart from Delhi, other Union territory[UT] comes where you have to go periodically...further query is welcome..keep blogging..

Respected sir,
I am from a Hindi background and there are many like myself( Hindi medium candidate) who fear of getting a cadre which may be not Hindi speaking ( Of course we have to clear CSE first ). sir, I want to know what could be the chances of getting posting in Delhi, if somebody like us is allotted AUGMUT cadre? Does it depend on Insider/Outsider thing ?
Thanks in advance sir.

Sir,I got a letter from DOPT saying that i am unfit for techincal services due to colour vision defect(this is after second medical). They have asked to appeal within 21 days if i want to challenge it.Since i have Color vision defect i don't plan to appeal it.
Now if i don't do anything about the letter,i will get allocated to Non-technical services right?.Please clarify

sir, if someone wants to be considered for IAS & IPS services only if s/he is getting cadre of her/his choice else would like to be considered for next service as specified in the mains form; should the individual in such a scenario give the cadre preference ONLY for the states of his choice and for the rest of the states doesn't specify any preference order, leaving it blank in the mains form.
Secondly, for the individuals who have been living abroad for last few years, if they qualify the mains do they need to obtain a police clearance certificate from the Embassy or does theUPSC directly gets it from them. Thanks!
