I came across this blog few days before and really impressed by your guidance for the aspirations.
I'm and IPS aspirant, and my interest is mainly on joining investigating& Intelligence departments like IB and RAW instead of civil police.somewhere i heard that these days there is a direct deputation into organizations like IB,RAW for IPS probationers.Could you give me information on what are the chances of IPS probationers to enter in such depts.
Please give some focus on RAS also.

Manmauji: Hello Mr Raghavendra, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it....Regarding your query, it is good that you have such a dream and desire to serve in intelligence agencies...As far as I know, direct deputation in intelligence is not possible. you need to serve in civil police for some times then you can join them. However, in RAW, it is open recruitment from all the services to serve them directly after your probation is complete but you can not leave RAW once you joined in this system. Manmauji: Hello Mr Arul, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it...Regarding your query, after five years of service, several posts are open for deputation where one can apply in government of India...For this there are of course some guidelines such as clean service record, etc....Deputation is available in all the services....NCB of course is under MOH but central narcotics bureau [CNB] is still under IRS[C&CE] which controls production of opium, trade of drugs and implements NDPS Act hence very powerful and interesting job profile...further query is welcome...keep blogging..

Just found out this wonderful blog today. I been allotted to the IRS (C&CE) on clearing CS 2009.
Sir, a friend of mine who got selected for IPS this time informed me that he had received the joining instructions from SVP Police Training Academy, Hyderabad in the first week of October. But, its November already and am yet to receive any formal joining instructions as regards joinin NACEN. Am a lil worried to be frank. Does it get this late?? When would we normally get the joining instructions?? Pls reply if possible sir.

[3] Philosophy is a good optional...Medium doesn't matter..if you have good command over the subject you can take it and can get good marks as well.

Manmauji: Hello Mr Jayashree, thanks for your visit on the blog...Regarding your query, 2 marker in history can be prepared from NCERT books but since now you don't have time, you can buy 2 marker magazine and just mug the information...regarding notes from news papers, you must make them in short and in point form otherwise it will be bulky...you can have some spiral type note book and write point wise information on same topic...Regarding notes from chronicle, of course you can make notes and even prepare some answers from the topics given in chronicle...for idea about GS current, you can buy last years unsolved q papers of UPSC, and prepare notes accordingly...chronicle used to publish model answers of GS papers, you can make them a guide..Regarding Essay, Wizard magazine usually publish good essay, you can make them as a standard Essay for your practise...further query is welcome..keep blogging..

Regarding UPSC mains form..reply to Mr Swami

Mr Swami : i have not yet received any communication from upsc though i have been selected for CSM2010...so i already applied after downloading the forms from UPSC website....the pressnote says "In case, any of these candidates does not receive a communication in this regard from the Commission by 08/09/2010 he/she should immediately contact the Commission in the matter giving his/her particulars"...i tried to call the numbers given in the pressnote but no response...what should be done...if i have to write a letter to upsc, whom should i address ...please reply as i am worried about the Mains.

Manmauji: Hello Miss Tirumala, thanks for your visit on the blog and congrats for your success....Regarding your query, the scope of trade service is quite good as you will require to function under ministry of commerce..Since the cadre strength of ITS is very less so you will have good promotional chances...Since the service deals with corporates and trade aspects, you will have enough international exposure having numerous opportunity to travel abroad...Besides, you can join other ministry also on deputation after 5 years of service....But, as you have written that you are well employed, so in terms of salary and perks you may not get enough in ITS...Regarding the joining time, reserve list 2006 candidates are getting joining from 1st Oct..so I hope with in next week you will also get it but it depends on service to service...As you will undergo training in NIFT, New Delhi only so you may undergo training with your juniors in the month of December....further query is welcome...keep blogging..
