Regarding study leave...Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous:

Miss/Mr Anonymous: happy new year mr. manmauji. i have one query too.after getting into services, i want to do my m.s. in economics from a foreign university.iwant to know 1)after how many yrs. of service i will be able to get leave for my study plan? 2)does govt. bear the expenditure?if yes,to what extent AND is this privilege (i.e. expenditure bearing by government) available to all services within civil services OR only to ias???
Manmauji: Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog and new year wishes..I wish you the same...Regarding your query, of course, you can go for study leave on government expenditure after completing 5 yrs of service. It is available to all the service and not only to IAS...The amount of money paid by government depends on the scheme under which you will go for study leave abroad..For details you can check DoPT website www.persmin.nic.in as Ministry of Personnel of Govt of India sanctions all such leave and funding....further query is welcome..keep on blogging...

upsc online application.
Sir, the FAQ said that -
1)"images" of the "photograph" and signature should be "SCANNED".

again
2)The candidate should scan his/her signature which has been put on white paper with black ink pen. Each of the "scanned images" of the "photograph"/signature should not exceed 40 KB in size (for photograph, the pixel size is 140 pixels height x110 pixels width and for sign it should be 110 pixels height x140 pixels width) and also to be ensured that the uploaded photograph/signature are proper.

What exactly UPSC want to tell?
Go to studio, get 1 passport size "photograph",then scan it to get "scanned IMAGE of PHOTOGRAPH", then edit it,resize it!!

isn't it easier to have digital image/photograph of own and signature and upload it!
clarify plz
