Regarding FC exemption..Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...Regarding FC exemption, you can file the exemption request on line on DoPt website[ www.persmin.nic.in] after the Prelim result....DoPt will send you a letter whether you want to take exemption from FC or not....This process will start after the service allocation and CSE-2010 pre result....good luck...further query is welcome...keep blogging..

Hi,

I have another follow up question. For CSE 2009, UPSC has annouced a list of 399 general candidates. The first person on the general reserve list will be the 400th. What if few folks from the original list dont take up the offer (they are already in civil services, and get lower rank this year etc). Does that mean that the whole list moves up and that 400th person from reserve list could end up being ~380 or whatever the number might be? Thanks!

Hi Manmauji, congrats on joining office..wish u good times ahead.. I have a query that whether Govt has given option to IAS MAINS students to state the choice of state they want to serve in addition to their home state.. I mean to say that whether the govt has changed the earlier cadre allocation policy under which only the home state was asked and no choice for choosing OUTSIDER VACANCY was given???
