Reply to Mr Raviraaj Paatil

Hello Mr Raviraaj Paatil, thanks for your visit on the blog...regarding your query, You should read NCERT thoroughly for CSE-2010....Though, UPSC, in recent times, is focusing on modern India but they can ask any number of questions at any point of time...so for proper preparation, you must read Modern,Medieval and Ancient History...You can follow old NCERT book for history..for Science, you can go through 10,11 and 12th NCERT along with TMH.....for Economy also, It is better to study from NCERT along with Pratiyogita Darpan special issue...good luck for CSE-2010....further query is welcome...keep blogging...

HI
i am currently working and 25 years old . now i am planning to take civil services exam. as the time is short for this year mains i have started my preparation in view of 2011 mains. my concern is that even if i will be able to make to through the service of choice(IFS) in that attempt i will be 27 years before i join the service. will it be any hurdle during my service as all my colleagues will be far more younger . what are the factors other than experience considered for promotion.

one more query regarding IAS services . there are many IAS people of previous generations like many RBI governors who went to pursue higher studies in economics. is the trend still going.what is the procedure for going to higher studies from the services

thank you very much for your time
