(1) i hv got 482 rank in CSE-2011. what rank will i get in SC category?
(2) i am already in service, IIS, group A. So when should i resign this service? as i am planning to take exemption from FC.?

Manmauji:- Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog and congrats on your grand success in CSE-2011...Regarding your query, the service will depend on your choice order filled in mains form ...however as per conventional order, you will get IRS[IT] at this rank....since you are taking exemption from FC, you have to resign before the joining date of your main departmental training...Since you are already in Group A service, in fact you need not resign..you need to give only technical resignation from the service as you are joining different department of government of India..this way you can retain your pay benefits and other benefits....further query is welcome...keep on blogging..

Many thanks for educating and helping us through your very informative and helpful.I have a query.I am working in dept. of atomic energy as scientific officer (class 1),if I qualified and join civil services (IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc) OR some asst' professor.What is the procedure for leaving the present job and joining new with all benefits of the previous service as u mentioned in some of the replies technical resignation(??) no need of resignation?Pl explain in detail with adequate references (from rule book)if possible.
