How to Grasp the subject...Reply to Miss/Mr Anonymous

Miss/Mr Anonymous: Sir,I am studying for CSE for a..year now.I have BIG problem with GS. You know how it happen. You just don't know how to study ,what to study. Initially..I had problem with polity. I just couldn't grasp the subject. After much search and seeking somebody recommend me to buy Laxmikanth. My problem was solved. Now you know laxmicant is just word to word copy of DDBasu. But I couldn't study for months even when i had basu in hands. Now my BIG problem is economics. PLZ HELP

Manmauji: Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...Regarding your query, I can understand your problem. The solution of your problem lies in your mind. The first thing you do is start meditation for 30 Mts everyday. You need to be cool and calm in your mind. Don't burden yourself with the thought of preparing for CSE..If you are cool and calm in your mind, you can learn very fast and much more. If you are not able to grasp any thing, you should start reading that stuff very slowly. Devote 5 mts to each paragraph strictly with a watch in front of your eyes. These small techniques can solve your problem. For economics, you should start from NCERT. Clear your basics then purchase UMA Kapila book or any standard Economics book. Later on for updates you can purchase Pratiyogita Darpan Special Economics Bumper issue...Hope your doubts are clear by now..further query is welcome..keep blogging...

dear sir,
i m a great admirer of ur blog, and i could see that there are a lot of successful candidates who take ur guidance regarding various issues. sir, u have uploaded the excellent compilation of ias results 2008 , kindly upload the same kind of detailed list for ias results of 2007 whose topper was adapa kartik. it would be so great of u. this list would help me further in analysing the success ratio of various optionals and various other queries of mine. this list was partly available on a site called docstoc.com but then they ask u to pay online and then get registered on facebook.it would be so great of u if u could plz send me this detailed list of ias 2007 results.

with regards

Dear sir,

I have been alloted IRS (Customs & Central Excise) after my success in CSE 2009. However, I am yet to receive any details as to my professional training at NACEN. I do check NACEN's site regularly, yet no details are uploaded as regards training this year. Is such a delay usual sir? Also, usually, when does the training commence sir and do you see any delay in the commencement of this year's training? Also sir, I had skipped this years Foundation course since I appeared in Mains this year too. So, would the appointment letter as well as letter as regards training be sent to my home address or would it be given to the candidates personally on them completing the Foundation Course. Please throw some light on this sir.

Thanks you.

Sir,

The question I have is almost similar to JK's Question asked before me. Could you pls tell me what is the procedure for getting leave at NACEN. I also read about Block leave in the joining instructions. Can we decide when this block leave can be taken or will it be decided by NACEN? Also, how many block leaves are available? Could you also tell me long a period is this block leave? Additionally, is Saturday and Sunday a holiday at NACEN and if so, can the Officer trainees leave the academy and say visit their homes? One, last Question sir... How long is the period of training - is it 2 years or 16 months?

I know I have asked a lot of Questions :-) But, am really helpless here sir. Have next to no information of these things.

Sir, I am reading ancient and medieval history with the intention of preparing for prelims and main. Reading from TMH General Studies Manual(the big fat book which has every subject of GS in it).
1. Is that book good and recommended?
2. What all do I need to study for ancient and medieval history? There is so much detail about everything...art, culture, literature, economics, administration, trade...!!
