Hello Mr Nitin, thanks for your visit on the blog....Congratulations on your grand success in CSE-09....Regarding your query, I had a discussion with a guy in DoPT on this issue, he told that you have to join FC...Still, you can contact to DoPT and some senior officials there regarding this matter....but one thing is sure, if you are finally upgraded to IFS in between, you will not be allowed to write CSE mains by UPSC and even if you appeared, your result will not be declared by UPSC...It has happened earlier also....further query is welcome..keep blogging..

i an nitin(rank:222) got IFS provisionally which is my 3nd preference and i was hopeful to got IPS (2ND Prefernce)but there is some minute problem in medical clearnce so they provisionally alloted me IFS. SIR i also got letter to jion FC at the same time i cleared PT EXAM 2010.SO IN This status it is mendatery to jion FC Otherwise they will allow me to write mains exam.
