what do u think will be the cut off for g.s. and public administration for civil services pre 2010 for general and obc candidates? can i expect positive for overall 240-250 and only 50 in g.s. as an obc candidate?

Its great to see u helping so many ppl.. I have a query..I have a query sir. I have iven prelims this yr..Going by the keys published i have seem to have done well.. I have come to delhi for my 2nd optionals coaching.I am planning to take up psychology as my second optional. The problem is i hav started hearing rumours that UPsc is hell bent on breaking monopoly of a particulr coaching class of psychology and they hav been framing tough papers fr past 2 yrs.
My query is ,if v get a tough paper and i do comparately better than my peers in the subj, will ther b any sclaing to ensure that i get a score on par with candidates of other subj.

hello sir how tough was history and gs in csp this year. i had scored 60+ in both the papers what are my chances to get into mains

I am really gratefull to u for running this scucessful blog for such a long time.otherwise i have seen many people get fatigued very soon.I have 2 querys.
1.one of cousin's father has ben retired as commdant from BSF and his annul pension is around 2 lakh 50 thousand..does he fall under creamy layer of OBC list or not?according to satus cretieria..
2.what be ideal cut off for general candidate this year of pre according to u

Hi All CS(P) 2010 candidates
This year GS paper was slightly difficult and almost all the optionals in social sciences were tough. So in subjects like History, Public admn, Geography, economics, Pol Sc etc. as I guess there would be unexpected fall in the cut off percentile this year. There are many more vacancies than last year.
So even if you are getting 60 in optional and 50 in GS or 66 in optional and 35 in GS or a total of 200 with a min 30 in GS do not lose hope. I see there is enough chances this year for you guys.
