IAS Vs IRS [C&CE] pay package...reply to Mr/Miss Anonymous
Hello Mr /Miss Anonymous , thanks for your visit on the blog…..Congratulations for getting in to prestigious IRS[C&CE]…..regarding your query, the pay package for group ‘A’ posts is same for all the services including IAS…but the chances of promotion are quite fast in IAS and hence better pay package in later years for IAS as suggested by 6th pay commission…in this sense, IAS has better pay package at senior level compared to IPS and any other services….in fact it was quite demoralizing for the officers who were selected through same process but having different pay packages at senior level with same number of service years…in fact all the services except IAS have made the representation before 6th pay commission but of no avail….but I feel that money is not the only motivating factor as vindicated by several human relations theories….If you enjoy your work, every service has good pay package and career advancement opportunities….regarding your other query, since your batch is huge in size and your senior batch [2008] is also big…there may be some problem of promotion..but restructuring in the department is in the pipe line along with the coming GST, I hope that various new chief commissionerate will come up and hence the problem of promotion will not be there after few years….further query is welcome…keep blogging….

Hi can pls clarify from the mains point of view
1. wheter we have draw lines at the top and below of every page, last time i observed many of ppl did that.
2. what different colours of pens we can use
3. to draw charts and diagrams in optionals like pubad can we use pencils (pens are little clumsy).
4. if possible post some imp. current affairs for mains
5. even after refering many materails, i could not understand about 'doha development agend' what issues are involved in it. can you post something on it as well as on UN's MDG s

hi can u provide me with some information regarding to ifs,why many opt for ips,irs over ifs.
is the package low when compared to ias?
or is it bcoz u get posted away from home?
but many of politicians r from ifs vice president,pranab mukherjee,meira kumar etc etc the list is long.
can u provide me detail information regarding to ifs taht u r aware of
