Reply to Mr Siddhartha
Hello Mr Siddhartha, thanks for your visit on the blog.....Regarding your queries :
[1] It is not clear whether UPSC interview board has the mains marks of the candidate at the time of interview or not....It is generally assumed that they don't have it.
[2] Regarding the change of the preference of the service after the selection....It is not at all possible to change the preference after the selection...thus it is strictly advisable to fill the mains form carefully and specially the service preference very carefully...there are incidences where one candidate got rank in top twenty and was allotted Postal service due to his/her service preference.....further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Regarding IFoS...Reply to Miss Anurima
Hello Miss Anurima, thanks for your visit on the blog....I am sorry for the late reply...I was in Corbett National Park where there was no connectivity....Regarding your query, I can understand your tension....the notification for CSE-2010 will possibly come on 5th January around....as per insider information, there are some changes in the pattern of the examination and possibly in the prelims...but there is no need to worry because it will be for everybody...regarding the interview....UPSC always prefer freshers...you can attend some mock interviews this time.....It is always advisable to be yourself, truthful in front of the board...Communication and to the point answer will give the upper edge to the candidate....one can't fool the UPSC board member.....you should not worry about the board.. sometimes luck also matters....generally UPSC board is very cordial....regarding the mark sheet of top-3 candidate of IFoS, I will try to publish it on the blog as soon as possible......further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog...congratulations on getting in to IRS[C&CE]....Regarding the training venue for 61st batch between Faridabad and Mumbai, the board policy is every third candidate in the merit list will be sent to Mumbai....Some candidates have sent the request for change in the venue but they will be considered on case to case basis...The final list is shortly going to be published on NACEN website...I don't see any need for panic as both the venue are good for training.....As soon as any update will come,I will post it on the blog...further query is welcome..keep blogging..

Hello Mr Dattu, thanks for your visit on the blog...regarding the change in the pattern of prelims of CSE-2010 is not sure....The notification for CSE-2010 is about to come...so just wait for some more days...regarding the EOL, I don't think that any change in the prevailing system will occur in this year....So, those academies which give EOL will continue to do so...but from next year onwards, there may be complete ban on EOL....further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Hello Mr Sanyam Suresh Joshi, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it…congratulations on getting in to IRS[IT]…regarding the EOL, It is true that you have to take it for full one year…you have to join NADT on the specified date after FC….after the joining you can apply for EOL….there may be possibility that EOL will not be granted but I think it is remote this year…the new rules will be applicable from next year if at all any…..for updates and joining instructions, you should visit NADT website…So don’t worry about it…regarding the arrears, I am not sure but I think you will get all those arrears only next year when you will join with your juniors…further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Quantum jump in Intakes in various services...Good opportunity for CSE-2010 aspirants
Hello Dear CSE aspirants, I have a good news for all of you....According to the confirmed sources, Dopt is agreed to recruit officers in large numbers to IAS,IPS,IRS[IT] and IRS[C&CE]....for the next 3 to 4 years, the intake in these services are expected to be very high.....IRS[IT] may have more than 170 seats and IRS[C&CE] more than 180...the same pattern will be in other services...It is a possibility that from CSE-2010 onwards , Foundation course will be conducted at LBSNAA, MCR HRD, Hyderabad and NADT, Nagpur to accommodate the huge numbers....this will definitely give huge respite to the millions of CSE aspirants...I wish a good luck to all of them for their next attempt....However, I warn to all of you to get ready to face any drastic change in the pattern of CSE exam which can happen at any point of time....few changes I have already mentioned in my previous blogs.....keep blogging...

Reply to Mr/Miss Anonymous
Hello Miss/Mr Anonymous, thanks for your visit on the blog....one can definitely file RTI for not getting in to IAS/IPS despite the good rank only to Dopt as UPSC does not have any role in allocation of the services....This generally does not happen..there may be some medical ground for it.....further query is welcome..keep blogging...

About IFS...reply to Mr Wannabe Diplomat
Hello Mr Wannabe Diplomat, thanks for your visit on the blog and kind words about it...regarding your query I will try to answer one by one:
[1] After the long probation, IFS officer is attached with one of the embassy depending on the language specialisation he/she got during the probation.
[2] Regarding the work load, It is not as compared with IAS and IPS but of course with huge responsibility.....It depends on the country where you will work. In the present times, the work load is increasing as India is having large trade with several country.
[3] I don't have the exact salary figure at Germany.
[4] Generally, posting is done on the option taken by probationer during training along with language specialisation.....UPSC rank, qualification and other academic records also matters...though at senior level, one can be posted at any place with due political consideration...
[5] Since IFS training is long enough so probationer keep their spouse with them.
[6] Seats in IFS is generally within 20-40 range....due to increasing Indian clout in international affairs, seats are expected to be increased in coming years but not like IAS and IPS.
[7] There is a huge scope in IFS for study leave and other higher courses at international institutions. GOI does provide scholarships and sponsor these degrees along with a bond.
[8]The safe rank is with in 80 in general category though depends on the vacancies in a particular year in IAS and IFS.
I hope I am able to reply atleast some of your queries...further query is welcome...keep blogging...
