Reply to Mr Chetan

Hello Mr Chetan, thank you for your visit on the blog...It will be a great help for us if you can specify the ranks of which you requires the mark sheets because from the available current list it is difficult to exactly predict the last 20 of general category. If you can wait for some time,Dopt will release the list category wise then We can publish the mark sheets of last 20 candidates in CSE-2008. Any further query is welcome....keep blogging...

Reply to Mr Abhishek Yadav

Hello Mr Abhishek Yadav, thank you for your visit on the blog...regarding your query,I will reply it sequentially:
[1] you are welcome to join central services for which you need to qualify the examination conducted by UPSC located at New Delhi.
[2] Group A posts includes all the top positions in government of India e.g. IAS,IFS,IPS,IRS,IRTS[railways], IDAS[defence accounts], Indian audit &account services,IES,etc...the pay scale for group A services is equal for all . Thus in monetary terms there is no big difference between IAS,IPS & Central services Group A posts. But there is a difference in job responsibilities and the power. Though as a Group A officer you will handle all the top positions in your respective departments but mobility will be restricted to your parent department e.g. Finance or defence or accounts, etc but in IAS you have great mobility across the departments. But in IAS & IPS you need to serve a particular state [state cadre] for a large chunk of your career but in central Group A services you can take positions to any locations across the country. IPS requires a typical attitude because of its job requirements.
[3] The promotion prospects are good in all the services.
[4] For IES, It is a technical, specialist service. you will serve in a particular field only. The top positions are generally held by civil servant from Group A service...so in whole career you shall have to report to Generalist Group A officer despite the fact that you also belongs to Group A service.
I hope I have replied you satisfactorily. Any further query is welcome...Keep blogging...

Hello Ritu...thank you for your visit on the blog and nice words about it...regarding your query..you can prepare Sc & tech for gs mains from several sources...If you are an English medium aspirant then Spectrum book on Sc & Tech,Vajiram & Ravi class notes in addition to the news paper will be suffice...For computer terminology you can get Xerox from Vajiram's yellow book for GS...You can purchase any book on computer basic and take the help of Glossary at the end of the book....I think this will be enough...good luck...any further query is welcome....keep blogging...

Reply to Miss Aditi

Hello Aditi, thank you for your kind words....Regarding joining instructions to foundation course [83rd batch] you will get it separately by speed post from Dopt....though there is no substantial difference between them[MCRHRD and LBSNAA]. You need to post it after filling all the details. You can even submit it at the time of joining academy. Regarding MCR,you can visit it at www.hrdiap.gov.in for joining instructions in the month of August only. So far, there is no official announcement regarding the conduct of parallel chapter of 83rd foundation course at MCRHRD...but due to huge numbers,it is likely to be conducted at MCRHRD....so till then wait for the final announcement and enjoy the above website of the academy.....any further query is welcome...keep blogging...

Kudos to Indian Citizens [not the PEOPLE]....15th LOK SABHA Election

Kudos to Indian citizens [not the Indian people]...today's results of 15th Lok Sabha election of the largest democracy of the world has once again proven that We,the citizen of India has the best sense of decision making in the favour of Nation building.Though the voter turn out was not very impressive but still at last democracy triumph. The significant outcomes such as the defeat of communal forces, defeat of criminal candidates, etc. This result clearly vindicated that now citizen of India are able to distinguish between the national issues and state issues. The defeat of LEFT [leg pulling party]in Kerala and West Bengal has proved this fact. Now citizen can co-relate the issues of inflation, terrorism, economic slowdown, etc with the international development. It is not the sole responsibility of the ruling power to do anything on these issues. In this election only one issue prevailed in the minds of voters and that was development. No fake promises can work in future. Citizens want delivery and value for their money. They want to pay taxes provided it is being used in the development of the nation. It should be seen on the ground. The best example is Delhi. All the seats are captured by incumbent government because they showed that they know how to utilise the public money.I wish a great future to the incumbent Prime minister. The opposition parties, now, should learn a lesson of constructive opposition. The people like Mr Paswan, Lalu Yadav and Prakash Karat, etc will definitely learn a lesson that caste politics, intimidating politics, regional politics, etc will not have any place in the future.Once again, kudos to those citizens who have participated in this great dance of democracy. I wish that in next general election all the people of India will become citizen of India and will take part in the democratic process..... Long Live India....Jai Hind....

Reply To Mr Vineet

Hello Vineet, thank you very much for reading this blog.Regarding your doubts...you said rightly that it is quite easier to score high marks with art optionals. But there are ample examples in every year that candidates from Science optionals do qualify with good ranks e.g.Mr Ankur Garg [1st Rank]had same optional as yours. So it depends on you...if you are highly confident and have good command over the optionals you can very well go ahead with it. There is no need to listen from various walks of the people because there is a huge negativity prevailed in the market regarding science optionals. For UPSC all the optionals are scoring..It depends on the presentation of the answers and thoroughness of your preparation...So Just finish your optionals along with GS and appear in next CSE.... Good luck...Any further query is welcome....Keep blogging..

I thank you for your visit on this blog.Regarding the offer letters,DOPT will start dispatching the letters within few days. You can visit dopt website http://www.persmin.nic.in/ for the latest updates. On the left hand side of this website, kindly browse citizen corner link....within this link click on CSE Result/allocation.... you will get all the details regarding medical status, service allocation etc with the help of a web authentication code [you can get this code from your letter given for medical examination at the time of interview by UPSC... probably in the last paragraph of the letter]...regarding facility at MCRHRD,you will get shared rooms [2 person]... hostel is centrally AC....Regarding missing FC,some of our batch mates have missed it due to compelling reasons [e.g. one lady probationers had 1 month old baby]...you can contact to DOPT for the leave..there won't be any problem I suppose....still It is advisable to join FC..because it is a golden period for anybody who have suffered a lot during the tiring preparation [you can enjoy like anything specially trekking and village visit]...you can make lot of friends also from various services....anyway enjoy your success....any further query is welcome...keep blogging....

Hello Teddy, thank you for a visit to the blog....Let me congratulate you for your success in CSE-08.....It is always good to enter in to this covenanted service.....If you have the attempt then do try for it once again...you never know what is there for you in the future...since UPSC is a highly unpredictable exam, there is no point in loosing hope....just appear in the next attempt and do your best...the best approach to UPSC is "FIRE AND FORGET".
Regarding IRS service....There are ample opportunities available here both in IRS[IT] and IRS[C&CE]......You will be responsible to handle thousands carores of government money....In this service there is no political interference...you will have complete freedom to work....You will get postings in urban areas [good cities]and according to your choices across the country[there is no cadre in central service]... You will work under Ministry of Finance,so your market value will also be very high if few years down the line you want to quit...you have numerous opportunities to work with international agencies....As far as challenges are concerned....corruption is a major problem in this department....you will not have any interface with common mass....you will be specialised in a very narrow area i.e. taxation....but for an individual and family life IRS is the best service.....thus in nutshell I can say IRS is also a good option for a career but do try for IAS....because in IAS you will have more power and direct interface with the common people....If possible kindly mail your interview experience [in Q & A format if possible]on neutralviews@gmail.com ...I will post it on this blog to help future aspirants. All the best for you result....any further query is welcome....keep blogging.

Hello Srinivas...nice to hear that you are relieved now....regarding the order....you will have optional paper in the 1st meeting and afterwards general study..the timing and other details are available on the admit card...so don't worry at all and prepare well for the exam...good luck...keep blogging

Don't believe Internet rumours

Hello friends....this is the time when CSE aspirants wait for their final results and this is also the time for rumours....Internet plays a major role in spreading rumours along with the mobile phones....If you browse through myriads of Orkut forums you can easily mesmerised and confused by the information overload....I sincerely suggest you to not to rely on those information. Let the result be out,all things will be clear. No need to panick about the final list. Along with this tension phase, kindly focus on the prelims preparation as well to be on the safer side [to be more practical]..... I wish you all a very good luck.

Hello Srinivas....Don't worry about the admit card....it is true that you can take the venue information from the UPSC website and get admit card from the centre two hours before the examination[but you need to carry 2 photographs and ID proof]....There is still lot of time..so wait for it...or you can simply write to UPSC,they will send you another duplicate admit card by speed post...so no probs.... Regarding the question paper...so far UPSC allows the candidates to bring the question papers along with them......Good luck for CSE-2009 Pre...any further query is welcome....keep blogging....

Good Luck for CSE-2009 PRE

This is the right time to say Good Luck to those who are appearing for CSE-2009 pre.....The heartbeats must be very high with a lot of anxiety and tensions. I suggest only few things:
[1] It is an All India Exam where people appear from each corner of the country.
[2]It is a competition where you need to do better than your counterpart.
[3] No need to do the best
[4]Only relative performance matters
[5]Don't test yourself each and every moment,UPSC has fixed 17th May for this.
[6]Try to keep yourself cool and calm.....Things will be all right
[7]revise..revise and revise
I think these are the important pointers to take care of...All the best...keep blogging
